Dan has been in the financial services industry for over 25 years in both account management and senior leadership roles. He first began offering mutual funds in 1989. He passed the Canadian Securities Course in 1996 and the Professional Financial Planning Course in 2001. Dan was licensed to sell insurance products in 2004 and became a Certified Financial Planner in 2005 and an accredited Elder Planning Counselor in 2006. In 2011, Dan became one of the few financial Advisors in Canada to achieve his Master Financial Advisory designation specializing in Retirement Income Planning.
Along with his wife, Marjorie, Dan has been a resident of Fergus since 1991. His involvement in the community has included volunteering through service clubs, the Chamber of Commerce, as a fundraiser for the new Rec Centre and helping coach his children (Steve, Laura and Jackie) in hockey, soccer, and ball.Dan is the past Vice-President of the Centre Wellington Community Foundation and is active in the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce. He is a member of St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church.
